| History of Red Star Mining |
Elrood sector was almost empty when Nova Industries, which would later expand into Rogue Squadron (RS), arrived on the scene, hardly noticed by millions of sleepy Imperials cleaning their fingernails in everlasting boredom. Seconds after the first feet touched Elrood soil in Meris system, untiring hands started digging to provide the raw materials necessary for the expansion of the group, and have never stood still since then. At that time and for years to come, Nova and RS relied on cooperation with associated mining companies to enable their own members to extract and prospect.
The story of Nova's expansion and its transformation into the Rogue Squadron movement is one of unbroken success. Starting with a few small houses in Meris system and one slow Gallofree transport, the rise of the Rogue Squad took everyone by surprise, not least the resident Imperials, who found themselves evicted and sector control wrested from their hands in next to no time. Wars were fought, hostile environments tamed, and civilization prospered where untouched wilderness has been ruling for eons. All this would have been impossible without the untiring hands of countless miners and prospectors, organized by people who had their hands on the pulse of their friends' requirements.
Sector control having been secured, it was time to start an even more ambitious project. Claims were staked, plans were made, planet grids were painstakingly searched for mineral deposits, and early in year 9 of Galactic reckoning, the starting shot was fired for the gigantic project of covering an entire planet in cities. Billions of citizens flocked to this masterpiece of civilization, and by their very presence and industrious happiness created what has been called "the Galaxy's most efficient tax machine". Built in record time, Coyn in the Coyn system part of the Elrood sector, stands as a monument to the frictionless interlocking of mining, construction, and services. And in what was to become Red Star Mining, ever-vigilant minds supervised tireless machines grinding away and processing ore, extracting valuable minerals, and providing mountains of construction raw materials for the always hungry maw of civilization.
After this great success, the time had come to stop relying on the outside and to move on to in-house raw material and prospecting services. In what was practically an overnight effort, a carefully selected group of experienced mining managers from the ranks of RS and its associated factions and groups was put in charge of what they had already created over the years. Red Star Mining was created, and with a view to the Elrood sector and beyond, its members stand as one to live up to the motto of their organisation:
Nunquam Dormans translated as Never Sleeping. |
